This week the city is crowded with visitors attendig all the cinemas. A lot of screenings that will never be shown at normal norwegian cinemas. I love it, and this year I am a volunteer as well.

I was 48, my boyfriend 49, and we celebrated with a dinner made from whale in this hut with a lot of friends.
Oppskrift på Hvalragu til 2 pers
400 g hvalbiff og 1/2 løk stekes på panne. En pakke matfløte haes i og det putrer i 20 min, ha i to gulrøtter i tynne skiver og 1/2 glass rødbeter i stimler. Varmes videre til gulrot er al dente. Salt og pepper. Server med potet eller potetmos, evt råstekte poeteter. Det smaker nyyyydelig og ser lekkert ut med fløten som blir rosa. Øl eller rødvin passer til.

Took the bicycles on the roof of the car from Tromsø to Breivikeidet. Cofee brake at the golf facilities at Breivikeidet when waiting for the ferry. After that : a very nice trip from Svensby to Djupvik and back.

A terrible wind against us for 20 kilometres was exhausting, bur then we could enjoy the wind pushing us back the next day : )

The man number 315, Kiprotich Chepno from Kenya won the longest distance. And we also had mostly nice weather this year. The correct name for the events previous years should be midnight rain marathon !

I visited this exhibition at Tromsø kunstforening with my pupils with skeletons made from old metal and wood parts. This is an octopus, although I thought it did not have a skeleton.

A photo exibition about 30 years of solidarity Tromsø-Palestine. It was opened yesterday, and my choir sang at the opening. I was wearing my 30 years old "keffyeh" or palestinasjal, as we say.

....had to borrow it back from my daughter, though who is carrying on with the tradition.

It is a shame that the israelis are building that wall, and that palestinians have been living in refugee-camps for 60 years now !!!

My choir Nordaførr has had a consert together with a sing and dance group Sugrevushka from the city Archangelsk in northern Russia. Here you can see their beautiful folk costumes.

In May, we are going to visit them and have a consert in Archangelsk.

Northern Norway and northern Russia have a long history of trading together, called the Pomor-trade. The russians came in big ships to exchange flour with fish in the summer.

It`s easter soon, and we have to fill some easter eggs. Here I am making 1,5 kg candy with these girls in my family. Apple, Coca cola and tutti frutti was the chosen flavours this time. And some also with marsipan inside.

The pattern is made from wollen yarn sewed by machine on to the fabric.
